The Kidde Battery-Operated Photoelectric Smoke Detector Alarm, 4-Inch, Batteries Included, model 10SDR, is a compact 4-inch smoke detector that uses photoelectric sensor technology to detect visible fire particles associated with smoldering fires. New, 9th Edition sensor technology reduces false alarms often caused by cooking or shower steam, while internal components of the smoke alarm self-test to ensure that it’s always operating as expected. (Self-testing is not a substitute for a manual push test of the alarm. Perform a button test once per week to verify proper alarm operation.) The Kidde Smoke Detectors’ compact, 4-inch design, which is smaller than the average 5-inch smoke detector, provides smoke detection in small spaces, such as a mobile home, RV, or crawlspace. When smoke or fire is detected, an 85-decibel alarm will sound, and a red LED light will illuminate. The Kidde Photoelectric Smoke Detector is powered by 2-AA alkaline batteries (included), providing peace-of-mind smoke detection coverage during a power failure. Installation is easy & requires no wiring – simply mount the bracket onto the ceiling & twist and click the smoke alarm into the bracket. The Kidde Smoke Detector will chirp when the alkaline batteries need replacing or as a reminder when it’s time to replace the alarm, at the end of its 10-year life span. A test-hush button allows you to test the battery operations as well as silence nuisance alarms, should they occur. The battery-operated Kidde carbon monoxide detector 9CO5-LP2 utilizes an electrochemical sensor to alert you and your family from the dangers of carbon monoxide. This CO alarm includes a slide-out battery door that gives immediate access to the 2 AA batteries (included) and a safety feature that makes it difficult to close the door without the batteries being installed. The inside cover of the battery door features quick reference guide for what to do in case of an alarm. This easy-to-install Kidde carbon monoxide detector is suitable for all living areas. The Kidde battery-operated CO detector features a test/reset button and an LED light, so you know the alarm status. The green LED flashes every 30 seconds to indicate the unit is operating properly. The green LED will also flash before a CO reading is taken and when any button is pressed. The red LED will pulse, and a loud alarm pattern will sound. The carbon monoxide alarm pattern is 4 short beeps, followed by 5 seconds of silence, followed by 4 short beeps with a corresponding red LED flash. This cycle will continue for 4 minutes and then change to 1 cycle every minute until the device is reset or the CO is eliminated.
